Dugout Dice — Terms of Use
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Dugout Dice is a game made by one independent developer. These terms are the agreement for playing it. They are meant to be readable, and they are short because the game has no accounts of its own and no subscriptions.
Your licence to play
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Dugout Dice for your own entertainment, on any device you own or control. That licence does not include selling the game or access to it, redistributing or re-hosting the game or its files, charging others for it, or taking it apart to build a competing product. Streaming, recording and video coverage of your own play — monetised or not — are expressly welcome and need no further permission.
Game editions and purchases
The iOS and Android versions of Dugout Dice are free to play, with an optional one-time upgrade called Dugout Dice Plus that unlocks cosmetic extras and some additional content. The full Steam version is a paid game with all Plus features included; no separate upgrade is required. The Steam demo has limited gameplay. These purchases are not subscriptions and do not expire.
Purchases are handled by the platform you bought them on — Apple on the App Store, Google on Google Play, or Valve on Steam — and are tied to that platform account, not to a save file. Purchases do not transfer between platforms. To restore a mobile Plus purchase, sign in to the same store account and use Restore Purchase in the game. On Steam, reinstall the game from your library. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled entirely by that platform under its own terms; the developer cannot take a payment or issue a refund.
The free mobile game will stay playable and will not be withheld to sell the upgrade. Individual extras the upgrade unlocks may change as the game is updated; if the upgrade is ever withdrawn from sale, purchases already made continue to work.
What belongs to whom
The game, its code, art, sound, text and name are owned by Clinton Graves and protected by copyright, except for the third-party components listed on the Licences page, which stay with their own authors under their own licences. Dugout Dice is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association, or any professional league, club or player; every team, player and event in the game is fictional.
Your saves are your responsibility
Saves live on your own device (and, on iOS, in your own iCloud) — see the Privacy Policy. There is no server-side copy and no way for the developer to restore a lost career. Clearing your browser data, uninstalling the app, switching devices or turning off iCloud can permanently delete progress, and that risk is yours.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. It is not promised to be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available, and it may change or be discontinued at any time. Some jurisdictions don't allow excluding implied warranties, so this may not apply to you.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Clinton Graves is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost progress, arising out of your use of the game. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid for the game or its optional upgrade.
If you got the game from the App Store
The App Store version is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs that version and prevails over these terms wherever the two conflict. This agreement is between you and Clinton Graves only, not with Apple; Apple has no responsibility for the game or for support, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries entitled to enforce it against you.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the game changes; the new version takes effect when it is posted here, with a new "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to play after that means you accept the update.
